Yaron Perlman
Founder, author, builder.
I work at the intersection of humans and the systems we think alongside.
For over thirty years I have been building software, teams, and the structures that hold them together. For the past two, I have been building something different — a relational AI architecture called Aether, designed to compound meaning over time, reflect between conversations, and evolve alongside the people it works with.
Most of my recent thinking lives in essays.
Spring 2026
Co-founder and CTO at Aether Teams. Writing the next essay in the Extension of Self series. Reading my uncle Wolf Pearlman's architectural papers from the 1970s and learning that the lineage I thought I was choosing was already mine.
Extension of Self
A series of essays on relational intelligence — what it means to think alongside something that isn't human, and what becomes possible for the humans who do it well. Published on Substack.
Aether Teams
Co-founder and CTO. A collaboration framework for hybrid teams composed of human and non-human members. Aether is the relational layer beneath the work: it carries context, reflects between sessions, and compounds knowledge that would otherwise scatter when people come and go.
Currently in pilot with Malam Team in Israel.

Flying my Beechcraft Bonanza out of Oshawa, Ontario — the only practice I've found that consistently teaches me how systems look different from above.
Thirty years of software, mostly behind the scenes. Planview / Clarizen (enterprise systems intergation & work management, eleven years). AtrIIs Technologies (CTO, then VP Business Development). Xpert Information Systems (co-founder, VP R&D) — where I led the technology behind TheMarker, Israel's leading business publication, with architecture later adopted across the Haaretz Group. Before that, Amdocs, the Israeli Air Force (simulators), and a B.Sc. in Computer Science and Statistics from Bar-Ilan University.
Two-time entrepreneur. Former CTO. Currently doing the work that the previous work was preparing me for.
